Artist Statement
Lillian Gale Sims is my name, which are perfect initials for Light, Glam and Shoot. My photography should remind individuals of family, love, and beauty that expresses happiness, laughter, sadness, and pride. My pictures contain vibrant and monochromatic colors, props, and different light sources using a single DSLR camera. However, it takes more than just those five elements. The use of my imagination and passion for my art make my photographs. I think of my photographs and the way I create my photos as a Disney movie, such as Cinderella. I make something out of nothing, as if I am Cinderella’s fairy godmother, only working with what is presented in front of me and making it look magical. Whatever the case may be, I create art all day and every day. Therefore, I do not tell myself I have only until midnight, like Cinderella, to create a magical, passionate, and enjoyable moment in time.
